OUR FISH ARE NOT FOR EATING
If you would like to fish in our lake you must have a Government Fishing Rod Licence which can be applied for here, as well as a permit from us to fish our lake. Email us to request a fishing permit.
We want you to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing experience fishing using exemplary angling practice and ensure the safeguarding of the fishery and breeding cycles in our lake.
So here are our rules and requirements from our angling expert Adam who is frequently on site around the lake.
1.All Anglers must hold a current Environment Agency licence issued by the government to fish on our land. This is the law in this country.
2.Barbless Hooks only, no crushed or flattened barbs
3.A large padded unhooking mat to be used at all times.
4.Use a 36inch landing net or large Barbel spoon landing net.
5.No baited rods left unattended in the lake or baits left hooked up to rods when not fishing.
6.No leaders, especially lead core leaders,..Tubing is fine..
7.Do not stand up holding fish to photograph, always low down over a padded unhooking mat.
8.No Baitboats, angling drones, or sonar deeper devices.
9.No retainers or carp sacks, all fish to be returned to the lake as quickly as possible.
10.All the gates to the lake to be closed on entry and exit to the lake (this to safeguard the bird life and fish stocks).
11.Our lake manager is more than happy to help with any angling related queries.
12. Obviously please leave no litter!
